From Blackdog Performance Cars
1965 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 327 Fuel Injected $499,999

For sale at Blackdog Performance Cars is the lowest mileage 1965 Chevrolet Corvette fuelie in the world. This 65’ Corvette was almost never driven, it was well preserved, and remains that way today. The odometer has only recorded 1,653 actual miles. Throw in the fact that is a 327 CID 375 horse, fuel injected V8 powered, convertible with a 4-speed manual transmission, yes, this is a very special C2 Corvette. This multiple award-winning Corvette is finished in Glen Green exterior paint with Saddle leather interior. The soft top is beige in color while the factory auxiliary hard top is painted Glen Green to match the car. All of the above are original to the car, the paint, interior, engine, transmission, and all of which are in incredible condition.

Check out the resume of awards; NCRS Duntov Mark of Excellence, NCRS Bowtie, NCRS Top Flight & Performance Verification, NCRS Gallery Display, Bloomington Gold Bench Mark, Bloomington Gold Survivor, Bloomington Gold Hall of Fame, Bloomington Gold Special Collection award, and the Triple Crown. For sale at Blackdog Performance Cars is the lowest mileage original 1965 Chevrolet Corvette in the world. This 65’ Corvette was never titled and almost never driven, it was well preserved, and remains that way today. The odometer has only recorded 1,653 actual miles. The second-generation Corvette, or C2, had a very short run as far as Corvettes go. The C2 was produced from 1963 to 1967, only 5 model years. The C2 Corvette is considered by some to be the most beautiful and most iconic Corvette. When it burst on the scene in 1963 with the split window coupe, it seemed as though it was lightyears ahead of its time, and the competition. The C2 Corvette saw a lot of firsts for the Corvette, including the Wonderbar self-tuning AM Radio, AM/FM Radio, telescopic steering wheel, air conditioning, and head rests. Notable first for the 1965 Corvette were four-wheel disc brakes, and the introduction of the big block V8 into the Corvette engine choices. In fact, the 396 CID big block V8 produced 425 horsepower and was $245 less expensive that the fuel injected 327/375 horse V8. Although the fuel injected V8 was able to get 20 mpg, and never lost fuel flow while cornering at high speeds, people could not fathom paying more money for less horsepower. This may be a large factor as to why there were only 771 fuel injected powered Corvettes built in 1965, leading Chevrolet to discontinue the engine option after the 1965 production run. A fuel injected engine would not return to the Corvette lineup until 1982, making the 1965 Fuelie, very rare, and very sought after amongst collectors.

This 65’ Corvette is extremely well documented. Accompanying the sale of the car is the original build sheet, window sticker, owner’s manual, warranty book, protect-o-plate, original owner’s mileage statement, original application for title, and original temporary registration. It does not get better than this, a rare fuel injected 65’ Corvette Convertible with 1,653 miles, with tons of awards, and documentation. This is a got to have for any serious Corvette collector.
